Will | Know all men by these presents that I Absalom George of Shirley, Taylor County, West Virginia in moderate health and of sound and ____ mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore me. And as to my worldly state and all property real personal or mixed of which I shall die seized and processed board to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease. I devise bequeath and dispose there in the manner following come to wit: 1st, my will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my executor hereinafter named be paid out of my estate as soon after my deceased shall by him be found convenient 2nd I give devise and bequeath to my son Martin V. B. George all my property both real and personal to have and to hold the same to him and his heirs forever. 3rd it is my will that said Martin V. B. George shall keep and maintain my wife Sarah George during her lifetime, that is in the event that she should survive me. 4h it is my will that Martin V. B. George shall pay my daughter Elizabeth Allen the sum of $10 out of my personal property. 5th it is my will that the said Martin V. B. George shall pay to Sarah Jane Smith my granddaughter, of Thomas Smith, the sum of $25 dollars out of my personal property when she arrives at the age of 21 years. And lastly I do nominate and appoint my son Martin V. B. George to be my executor of this my last will and testament. Testimony where I said Absalom George have to this my last well and testament contain on the sheet of paper I hereby seal this 16th day of April 1881. Signed sealed published and declared by the said Absalom George as his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and his presence and in the presence of each other here subscribed our names as witnesses thereto. Alexander George O. W. O. Hardman Absalom George [seal] Clerks office of the County Court of Taylor County West Virginia June 7 1887. The foregoing paper writing purporting to be the last will of Absalom George, deceased late of Tyler County was this date presented in the clerks office for sent for probate Alexander George and subscribing witnesses to the same and the said writing was continued for other and further proof. Test D. Hickman Clark Clerks office of the County Court of Taylor County West Virginia June 18 1887. The foregoing writing purporting to be the last Willof Abasalom George deceased was this day again presented for probate and the execution of this in writing by the said Absalom George once fully approved by the oath of O. W. L. Hartman the other subscribing witness thereto, and was thereupon admitted to record as an for the last will and testament of the saidAbsalom George deceased. Test D. Hickman clerk | |
