Notes |
- The children previous to 1719 were born in Enfield, after 1724 they were born in Stafford. The most significant evidence of his relationship is an action brought in 1742 (County Clerkâs office in Northhanpton, Massachusetts) in the names of John Warner, Elizabeth Pease, Samuel Warner, Daniel Warner, and Israel Warner for recovery of land in Hadley, Massachusetts. These were all the living descendants of Nathanial Warner of Hadley, a weaver, deceased. The action describes John and Daniel as weavers of Stafford, Samuel as a yeoman of Stafford and Israel as weaver of Springfield. Before the action was disposed of, the John of Stafford had changed his address to Somers, Tolland County, Massachusetts. This clearly shows that the John who married Tabitha Abbe of Enfield oin 1713, who was later of Stafford, and still later of Somers, was the son of Nathaniel of Hadley. [4]
